Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Provide administrative support to Administrative Leadership.
2. Work with the Chair of each department and submit new courses and programs to Courseleaf while tracking the status of those proposals.
3. Edit and confirm the progress of courses in Canvas.
4. Review and approve the internship application of international/Chaplaincy students.
5. Review and request the thesis project, course substitution and CPED registration for Chaplaincy students.
6. Assist Academic Advising with any issues.
7. Assist with department events.
8. Manage and support International Alumni network.
9. Collaborate work with the International Office.
10. Arrange meetings, travel, and program events and reconcile program expenses.
11. Assist budget managers with budget planning and departmental purchases.
12. Purchase and manage supplies needed for Center for Chaplaincy.
13. Order Promotional Items.
14. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies
A master's degree in a related field, 5 years of administrative experience, institutional knowledge of Liberty and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and Blackboard required. Must have experience using Sharepoint and managing multiple projects simultaneously, as well as strong ability to work with and learn a variety of computer systems.
Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Excellent computer and organizational skills. Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
