Wastewater Collections Operator I, II, or III

Purpose

As a Wastewater Collections Operator you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our wastewater collection systems to ensure the efficient and safe transport of wastewater to treatment facilities. Accountabilities

• Help optimize operations by finding innovative ways to streamline processes and utilize resources cost-effectively, contributing to increased efficiency and improved turnaround times
• Support customers by establishing and maintaining open lines of communication with both internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships and meet the needs of our community
• Safety is our top priority, ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your team by adhering to safety protocols and regulations
• Execute operational functions related to our wastewater collection infrastructure, including routine maintenance, emergency repairs, conducting inspections, and make operational adjustments to keep our systems running smoothly
• Obtain samples and perform inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Identify and mark utility locations, playing a crucial role in preventing disruptions and ensuring the integrity of our infrastructure
• Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Possess an ADEQ Operator License 1, 2, or 3 for Wastewater Collection
• Ability to read and interpret maps, manuals, and blueprints, along with proficiency in performing general math calculations
• Demonstrate the capacity to analyze complex variables and make informed decisions to complete tasks efficiently
• Work effectively with your colleagues, following instructions while also exercising discretion when necessary
• Hold a valid state driver's license and prioritize safety in all aspects of your work
