Overview: We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent service to our customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our deli department. Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items - Assist customers with their deli orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have - Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area, including food preparation surfaces, utensils, and equipment - Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed to maintain freshness and quality - Monitor inventory levels and restock deli products as needed - Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner Experience: - Previous experience in a deli or restaurant setting is preferred but not required - Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices - Familiarity with operating cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems - Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
