Position Summary

As Maintenance Planning/Scheduling Supervisor for our mining client in northern Minnesota, you will oversee the work management processes at two ore mines. The individual in this role reports directly to the Area Manager of Maintenance Excellence.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Indirectly oversee the planning departments throughout the two facilities and own the Work Management KPIs.
  • Assist with outage and long range planning throughout the facilities.
  • In coordination with the team, responsible for work identification, work planning and scheduling, kitting, job roles and responsibilities, and work closeout.
  • Contribute to long-term goal setting and department vision within the RCM program.
  • Administer the company Safety program to ensure a safe work environment within the assigned facilities.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or technical college degree plus two or more years of supervisory experience in a production environment,
    • Candidates with related education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience in a production environment
  • Ability to make sound operating and mechanical decisions with little input from other managers.
  • Willing to leverage CMMS, preventive/predictive maintenance, Microsoft Project, and other maintenance planning tools to assure success of the program.
  • All successful candidates are subject to background checks, pre-employment physical examinations, and drug and alcohol screening.
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Knowledgeable in mechanical maintenance of equipment used in the mining process as well as have a strong mechanical background relating to repair of heavy industrial equipment.
  • Experience in work planning and scheduling.
