Job Posting for Administrative Assistant at Life EMS Ambulance
This position is full-time. Pay ranges from $15.01/hr to $28/hr, based on experience.
SUMMARY
Provides excellent customer service to patients and associates while performing office support functions to the department in which assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure daily customer happiness
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Assist with company uniform ordering and distribution
Assist with office inventory management
Assist with community relations and Life EMS related events
Answer telephone lines
General document creation, editing and filing (electronic or paper)
Send packages via UPS/Fed Ex or certified mail.
Check in deliveries and route to appropriate department
Prepares and distributes incoming and outgoing mail as well as inter-company mail
Research and rectify missing paperwork needed to complete the billing process
Take cash payments and ensure proper documentation and delivery of those payments
Maintain cash box
Coordinate local vendor repairs with the Directors of Operations (e.g., heating/cooling, plumbing and electric)
Must follow HIPAA guidelines at all times to protect customer PHI
Provides administrative support to other departments as requested
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED.
Strong verbal communication skills, administrative writing skills, and ability to accurately type.
Mastery level knowledge of Microsoft Office suit including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to efficiently manage time and tasks to meet deadlines
Must demonstrate positive, respectful behavior in dealing with people at all levels.
Must pass all Life EMS pre-employment requirements as outlined on the Conditional Offer of Employment.
Must be interviewed by the Director of Southern Operations or his/her designee.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
