Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Intake Coordinator. As an Intake Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by managing patient intake processes and providing administrative support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in dental or medical receptionist roles who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Schedule appointments using HospiceMD software
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, providers, and staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic systems
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow
- Perform general administrative tasks.
Experience:
- Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Previous experience as a dental or medical receptionist is a plus
- Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus
- Familiarity with dental office or medical office systems and procedures is a plus
- Experience in using HospiceMD software is a plus
