Men's Transitional Sober Living - Daytime Client Support Staff

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Observing and monitoring clients
• Orientation of new clients to house rules.
• Conducting check-ins to new clients including search of items brought to facility and lock-up of any/all contraband and medication.
• Conduct UA drug screen collection when directed, following appropriate procedures.
• Keeping facility clean and orderly at all times.
• Supervision of clients self-administration of clients medication
• Be available to provide transportation to clients if needed
• Other duties as assigned by Client Advocate Supervisor and Managing Director.

Qualifications include:

• Previous treatment experience a plus
• Going to School for a career in the field of Health and Human Services, Mental Health and/or Chemical Dependency if preferable but not required
• Staff will be trained and receive a TX-Approved Certification in Overdose Prevention and Naloxone

• Open availability (Day Shifts 8:30 am to 5:00 pm 5 days a week)
• Must be a team player
• Must be personable and easy going
• Must be available and compassionate to clients that come to you with any personal issues
• A working knowledge of the 12 steps
• Personal abstinence from alcohol and drugs is preferable.
• Implement rules, policies, and guidelines
• Maintain and implement all health and safety standards
• Support chain of command and maintain positive attitude in work environment
• Maintain professionalism in interactions with staff and clients at all times, and exercise appropriate judgment
• Attend and participate in staff meeting/in service trainings
• Report any crisis or serious concerns immediately
• Support clients' treatment goals
• Maintain professional boundaries
• Other office duties (phone, filing etc.) as needed'
