What are the responsibilities and job description for the Men's Transitional Sober Living - Daytime Client Support Staff position at Life Launch Purpose Driven Recovery?
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Observing and monitoring clients
- Orientation of new clients to house rules.
- Conducting check-ins to new clients including search of items brought to facility and lock-up of any/all contraband and medication.
- Conduct UA drug screen collection when directed, following appropriate procedures.
- Keeping facility clean and orderly at all times.
- Supervision of clients self-administration of clients medication
- Be available to provide transportation to clients if needed
- Other duties as assigned by Client Advocate Supervisor and Managing Director.
Qualifications include:
- Previous treatment experience a plus
- Going to School for a career in the field of Health and Human Services, Mental Health and/or Chemical Dependency if preferable but not required
- Staff will be trained and receive a TX-Approved Certification in Overdose Prevention and Naloxone
- Open availability (Day Shifts 8:30 am to 5:00 pm 5 days a week)
- Must be a team player
- Must be personable and easy going
- Must be available and compassionate to clients that come to you with any personal issues
- A working knowledge of the 12 steps
- Personal abstinence from alcohol and drugs is preferable.
- Implement rules, policies, and guidelines
- Maintain and implement all health and safety standards
- Support chain of command and maintain positive attitude in work environment
- Maintain professionalism in interactions with staff and clients at all times, and exercise appropriate judgment
- Attend and participate in staff meeting/in service trainings
- Report any crisis or serious concerns immediately
- Support clients' treatment goals
- Maintain professional boundaries
- Other office duties (phone, filing etc.) as needed'
