We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing and expanding team. The ideal candidate will assist dentists during examinations and treatment of patients, while ensuring excellent patient care and maintaining efficient dental office operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Take dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care
- Maintain accurate patient records
Skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency in infection control and aseptic techniques
- Experience with dental assisting procedures
- Understanding of medical coding systems
- Ability to work with pediatric patients
- Competence in medical imaging techniques
- Strong patient assessment skills
