In this role, you will play a critical role in optimizing the company's performance by designing and executing key learning and other organizational development strategies in support of our corporate team. You'll drive our talent and leadership development efforts through assessing and executing programs that promote high-performance and career growth at Life Storage.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute the framework for learning and organizational development programs, including:
- Employee onboarding
- Employee development
- Leadership development
- Training for initiatives and policy/procedure changes (in some cases, working as part of a project team)
- Talent management and succession planning
- DE&I
- Conduct needs analyses with leadership and project team members to understand business objectives and align them to learning needs
- Design impactful learning solutions and experiences that achieve business objectives, evoke change, and solve problems
- Manage learning and development projects, including communications, project tasks, and timelines; set and meet realistic and appropriate deadlines
- Determine the training methods, resources, and support systems that will achieve the desired outcomes
- Understand learning technologies and use that architecture to map out and design the learner experience
- Partner with the Content Manager to curate third party content or design and develop internal content when required as part of a solution. Convey the necessary solution and experience details to the content creator, review and provide feedback, and insert the content into the solution
- Create content as needed
- Facilitate interactive live virtual sessions as needed
- Create and implement evaluations and assessments to measure learning outcomes and business impact; communicate results with stakeholders
- Employ knowledge of current adult learning theory, instructional design methodology, and training techniques
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Associates' degree with equivalent experience
- 4 years' experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, and/or Talent Management
- Ability to consult with stakeholders from conception to delivery and assessment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify issues, set goals, formulate an effective strategy, and execute
- Desire for innovation and passionate about staying current with adult learning and organizational development best practices
- Savvy with technology
- Ability to collaborate effectively, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, manage projects, and meet timely goals and deadlines
- Customer-first mentality
