Position Summary
The AI Strategist’s role is pivotal in identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for AI and data science. This individual will work across all teams within Life Time, influencing key decisions and strategies. Although this role is part of our Digital team, its scope extends beyond digital interfaces, encompassing in-club operations as well as digital interactions with members and team members.
The AI Strategist is charged with steering the evolution of our strategies for consumers and team members to effectively utilize AI. This individual will have the unique opportunity to help shape the company’s AI strategy and is integral to our ambitious vision of transforming and elevating our member and team member experience using AI.
This role has two primary responsibilities. The first is to comprehend and analyze the business context and challenges, and to devise machine learning or data science solutions using value engineering methodologies. The second responsibility is to ensure that the developed solutions are embraced by the business teams and that the anticipated value is realized. The AI Strategist will serve as a trusted advisor to our business teams.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Own the evolution of existing experiences, guide the creation of new solutions, and build out our shared AI capabilities.
- Establish a cohesive plan and reference patterns
- Demand a holistic approach to solution design, focusing beyond delivery to think about the experience and long-term operation and evolution.
- Define and continually improve how we monitor and measure the effectiveness of our experiences.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
- 10 years as a product owner for consumer-facing applications in a hospitality environment.
- Experience building experiences that leverage both ML models and LLMs
- Experience interacting with modern agile software engineering methodologies and approaches
- Ability to effectively communicate concepts, findings & recommendations to senior leadership
