We have an immediate opportunity for Supply Chain Managers
General Summary: The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the supervision of the department and personnel. Performs all vital purchasing functions in the hospital. Ensures supplies to all areas of the hospital are provided by coordinating inventory and ordering procedures with hospital personnel. The Materials Manager is actively involved in department activities, transdisciplinary team activities, and LifeCare activities to ensure individualized, patient-centered health care for all patient populations admitted to LifeCare Hospital.
Essential Functions:
- Manages the hospital’s Capital Equipment Requisition (CER) program, both in terms of finding the best prices on items purchased and in the maintenance of CER records.
- Directs and supervises the collecting, receiving, processing, storing and distribution of supplies and equipment used in the care and treatment of patients.
- Provides leadership in the development of performance standards for materials management staff
- Analyzes, evaluates and plans for effective management of supplies, products and equipment so that there will be maximum quality control.
- Receives supply requisitions and ensures that they are properly completed.
- Verifies receipt of purchased merchandise and ensures the flow of paperwork (invoices, purchase orders and requisitions) from Materials Management to Accounting.
- The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the position requirements are demonstrated through the successful completion of competencies established for the position, to include population served, and other special needs of patients or customers served by the department.
- Adheres to LifeCare policies, procedures, all safety plans, and all standards imposed by regulatory organizations.
- Regular attendance and timeliness is required.
Requirements
Supervision: Manages the function and personnel of department.
Experience: Two to five years experience in a materials management department including one to two years supervisory or management experience. Experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in business, material management, or related area preferred.
Salary : $61,200 - $77,600
