Role Summary

Reporting to the Art Manager as a production artist/graphic designer at Lifeguard Press, you will collaborate with our licensee’s and product development teams to create compelling design solutions for a wide variety of products and catalogs as approved by our Licensees and house brands.

Role Type and Location:

• This Is Not a Remote Position.
• In Office Position – Corporate Headquarters in Bowling Green KY
• Part-Time Hourly, Non-Exempt (Monday – Friday, 20 - 28 hours per week. Hours can be flexible to accommodate school schedules).
• Candidates must include portfolio links to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Editing, and color-correcting product photography.
• Creating the production files for packaging for each brand, including hang tags, boxes, bellybands, marketing labels, and UPC stickers, as well as concepting new packaging for new items that stayed within the correct brand guidelines.
• Laying out planners, catalogs, postcards,
• Designing patterns and product presentation look books for private label products.
• Working efficiently and flexibly to meet tight print and production deadlines.
• Effectively copes with change; can shift gears comfortably; can decide and act without having the total picture; isn't upset when things are up in the air; doesn't have to finish things before moving on but is excellent with follow through to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Experience, Knowledge & Skill Requirements

• Strong design skills in both digital and print.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Comfortable working within the Google Apps.
• Comfortable in a deadline-driven department.
• A highly effective communicator and collaborator.
• Highly detail-oriented and discerning.
• Able to take direction and prioritize tasks.
• Must have a Continuous Improvement and Team Player mindset.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit and work on computer for duration of shift in a cubicle environment.
• Specific vision capabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
• Strong verbal skills (proficient in English).

Academic Qualifications

• BA or BFA in graphic design or something similar.
• Minimum 3 - 4 years of design experience.
