Overview

Under general supervision, is responsible for assisting CRNAs and anesthesiologists in preparation for medical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Set up anesthesia equipment and prepare procedure medications
  • Order, stock, test, and maintain anesthesia supplies, medications, and equipment
  • Perform safety checks on anesthesia equipment
  • Wash and sterilize re-usable equipment
  • Report malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel
  • Transport patients to and from rooms
  • Assist CRNAs and anesthesiologists as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    • Qualifications

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); One to three years related experience and/or training in the field as an Anesthesia Technician. Excellent people skills and attention to detail are needed. BLS certification is required. Certification as an Anesthesia Technician is preferred.
