LifePoint Health, a leader in community-based care, is seeking a skilled and experienced Interim Emergency Department Director to join our team on a PRN basis. As an Interim Emergency Department Director, you will work on a flexible, per assignment basis, acting as a subject matter expert in Emergency Services. This is a dynamic role where you will have the opportunity to work with our hospital teams to provide strategic guidance and leadership to improve the quality and delivery of emergency department care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide interim leadership and support to hospital emergency departments
- Analyze department performance data and identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps
- Collaborate with hospital leaders and clinical teams to implement best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Act as a resource and mentor to emergency department staff
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience in emergency department leadership roles
- Appropriate certifications and licensure as required by the service line
- Strong knowledge of emergency department operations, quality improvement, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop action plans to improve department performance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Willingness to work on a flexible PRN basis
