What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Clinic Supervisor position at Lifepoint Health?
Responsible for workflow, performance and overall supervision of clinic operations, including managing occupational medicine business accounts, achieving expert care, excellent service and optimized provider/staff productivity. Ensures patients are properly received and the necessary business and record keeping functions are completed prior and after the patient receiving medical services, including, but not necessarily limited to 1) coordinating all patient billing functions including patient data collection, patient billing and collections, 2) medical records administration, 3) maintaining adequate office supplies and equipment 4) patient and employee scheduling 5) delegation of workload to others. Works closely with Clinic Manager to ensure the provision of comprehensive departmental compliance, patient and business partners satisfaction, and performance improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to meet minimum hospital hiring standards.
- Extensive knowledge of reimbursement and billing requirements, including knowledge of insurance billing standards and fiscal requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Excellent leadership, team building and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and exercise good judgment.
- Advanced computer technology skills required.
- 3-5 years experience in an outpatient setting which included billing and collections. Bachelor’s degree or additional relevant education preferred.
Essential Job Functional:
- Leadership and assumes overall responsibility for personnel management, staffing and training.
- Responsible for monitoring use and maintenance of clinics practice management performance.
- Establishes, maintains, implements and ensures policies and procedures for reimbursement, data entry and collections.
- Strategic planning and program coordination
- Interfaces with WVMC departments.
