Job Description

At Lifescale Analytics, we help achieve data-driven decision by leveraging strategic technologies to create innovated solutions, that ultimately help our clients to navigate their ever-changing data landscape. We have an opportunity for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, must be located in the Hampton, Virginia area. Candidates must be able to work onsite and must currently hold a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Eligibility. The ideal person has the scope to maintain cybersecurity architecture and design. Will work with the Enterprise Architect, service leads, engineers, developers, and stakeholders to maintain the highest level of security defense and readiness with minimized impact on mission performance.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding of current cyber technologies, trends within cyber space, and current DoD policy guidance.
• Perform proactive and active security vulnerability assessment, implementation, and monitoring of all products and applications in sustainment.
• Probe network defenses to identify vulnerabilities and administer network scans.
• Implement and manage security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
• Utilize DISA ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution) and ATO (Authority to Operate) toolsets to assess vulnerabilities, manage risks, and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of systems, networks, and information.
• Conduct regular system tests and ensure continuous monitoring of network security.
• Proficient in integrating and securing APIs, with an emphasis on enhancing system security.
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure alignment between security and privacy compliance and system architecture.

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Skillsets:

• 10 years of experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with DISA ACAS and ATO toolsets.
• Extensive experience in coding languages including .NET, Java, and XML.
• Expertise in API integration and security.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

 

Education:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

 

Certification:

• CompTIA Security certification required
• Additional Relevant certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.) are preferable.

 

Security Clearance Required:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Eligibility
