This is a Non-union and regular full-time position.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: For ICF facility individual requires managerial and/or supervisory experience. This may include a High School Diploma/GED. Must have at least one year’s experience in residential management. Must have a Valid N.Y.S. Drivers License.
Physical Demands: Requires moderate physical effort on a regular basis, as in frequent traveling, standing, walking, bending, prolonged sitting, stooping, or reaching and/or occasional lifting
Special Requirements: All Residence Managers will be required to successfully complete Approved Medication Administration Personnel certification (AMAP) and Strategies for Crisis intervention and Prevention Courses Revised (SCIP-R) during their first three months of employment. Residence Managers must pass an annual AMAP and SCIP-R recertification test as a requirement for continued employment.
Working Conditions: Group home environment where individuals receive structure of daily routines through supervision. Occasionally stressful environment due to challenging behavior on the part of some individuals and therefore must be able to maintain calm in the face of verbal, physical and emotional challenges from individuals.
REPORTS TO:
The Residence Manager reports to the Residential Program Coordinator.
SUPERVISES:
The Residence Manager supervises all of the facility staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Summary: Responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the residence. Interpret and implement policies and procedures established by the by the Residential Program Coordinator, Director of Residential Services, Vice President for Residential Services and Central Administration. Perform duties related to individual case management and/or coordination of residential habilitation services. Act as liaison between individuals, community, family and other providers of service to the individuals.

Job Description
Supervise and monitor the performance of all assigned personnel. Cooperate with the overall policies and procedures of the Agency.
Function A: Assist in planning, evaluating and implementing individual residents’ service plan goals.
Function B: Monitor residents in the areas of medical, dental, psychological, communication, social, recreational, ADL skills, family, community functioning, financial needs, training, habilitation and any other needs and services required.
Function C: Maintain complete, up to date, accurate and necessary records, reports and documentation which are appropriate and required for the efficient meeting of IRA, CR or ICF operational regulations and comply with Federal, State and City regulations. Follow and carry out all union and agency policies and procedures. Follow all incident reporting procedures.
Function D: Provide emergency coverage of the residence to include medication administration and any other circumstances that may be required. Must be able to be contacted on a twenty-four hour basis to respond in emergency and/or crisis situations.
Function E: Responsible for supervising the assistant manager/fiscal in maintaining each facility within its monthly budget.
Function F: Responsible for the training, evaluation and direct supervision of assistant managers, direct care and support staff in both facilities. Train assistant manager to run the facility effectively in absence of residence manager.
Function G: Comply with all agency standards, rules, practices, policies and procedures.
Function H: Trouble shoot and problem solve regarding any facility issues and communicate daily with the Residential Program Coordinator.
Function I: Supervise facility staff to ensure consumers are receiving quality services on a daily basis.
Function J: Complete a daily walk through of the facility. Ensure facility is maintained in a sanitary manner.
Function K: Ensure agency funds are spent according to facilities budget.
Function L: Ensure facility has an adequate food, product and medication supply.
Function M: Oversee the medical quality assurance system.
Function N: Maintain all individuals’ general and medical records.
Function O: Complete incident reports according to the OPWDD reporting procedure.
Function P: Run individuals’ team meetings on a semi-annual basis. Complete corresponding reports on a semi-annual basis
Function Q: Run monthly staff meetings to educate and train staff.
Other duties may be assigned. Salary $55,000
