LifeStream is a behavioral health and social services organization that provides high-quality treatment, education, care management, rehabilitation, primary care and homeless services to children, adolescents, and adults. Located in Central Florida, LifeStream primarily serves the residents of Lake, Citrus and Sumter Counties, with additional programs located in Orange, Marion, and Hernando Counties. 

MA THERAPIST ADVANCED CLINICIAN - CCOS 067

JOB SUMMARY: CCOS Therapists work with children and families with many challenges including mental health diagnoses, family dynamic issues, behavioral issues, and trauma.

• CCOS clinicians use a strengths-based, systems approach that compels meaningful changes in children’s and families’ lives.
• CCOS Clinicians work with the whole system including the teachers, school administration, and family members.
• Clinicians empower caregivers to strengthen communication skills and the relationship with their children.
• Clinicians also work with the families to help provide consistency to help the child overcome emotional and behavioral barriers that may interfere with his or her success in the home and school setting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, ore related field.
• Eligible to become a Registered Intern in the state of Florida
• At least 500 hours supervised clinical experience.
• Experience working with children and/or adolescents preferred.

Driving Requirements:

• Clean Driving History and Valid Drivers License
• Level 2 Background Screening

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT:

Completes all requirements according to Individual Training Plan within the first six months of hire and annually. Other training and/or professional trainings/ certifications
