Position Summary:
The Community Engagement Manager reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for overseeing a range of community relations in food insecurity, including but not limited to ethnic diversity, equity and inclusion of seniors, adults, children and homeless. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organization, communication, and time management skills to ensure the smooth and consistent execution of Community Engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and leading community relations activities and initiatives.
- Develop community engagement events internally and externally, including presentations to community organizations, service clubs, and liaisons with ethnic communities throughout the Aspen to Parachute territory.
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with our internal and external stake holders.
- Establish and continue to build partnerships and meaningful relationships with related organizations throughout the region.
- Represent LIFT-UP at coalition and community group meetings, both public & private.
- Develop, organize, and help to facilitate discussion groups, workshops, trainings, and other events focused om and with our ethnic communities.
- Creatively engage the public to inform them of our available programs and services.
- In collaboration with the other members of the operations team and staff, follow strategic plan to accomplish all goals and objectives.
- Support all programs and services with bilingual translation.
- Evaluate impact and effectiveness of programs and services to the diverse communities we service.
- Provides support to the Volunteer Programs team in the recruitment of bilingual volunteers.
Qualifications:
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English.
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a related position, including previous experience in supporting a diverse team.
- Having a university degree in a related field of study considered an asset, though an equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Have a shared commitment and passion for fulfilling the mission of LIFT-UP.
- Knowledge of and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Maintains a constant awareness of our “guests” and exhibits recognition and appreciation of their needs with the ability to achieve results with positive outcomes for families accessing the programs.
- Supports staff in achieving results with positive outcomes for individuals and families within the various program areas.
- Meaningful connections to people from various ethnic and marginalized backgrounds.
- Expertise in creating and managing social media to reach target audience.
- Demonstrates a high degree of personal initiative with good planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to budget, forecast and plan for community engagement needs.
- Bring a strong customer service orientation and unparalleled commitment to excellence with both volunteers, clients and community partners.
- Competence at electronic data entry, mathematical calculations and information management, as well as ability to analyze data for purpose of cost containment, program monitoring, and improvement.
- Be comfortable working in a small, but mighty, organization.
- Valid Colorado State Driver’s license and ability to be insured.

- Must wear appropriate clothing to meet the public. Business casual for the office and in the field is preferred.
