In addition, many of our clinicians are involved in writing projects such as co-authoring user-friendly workbooks or assisting in the dissemination of high-quality consumer education through our Webzine. Clinicians also have the opportunity to participate in the Partners in Caring for Anxious Youth (PCAY) research study with Lurie Children’s Hospital.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced psychiatric nurse practitioner to serve our patients. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. LOA has nearly 50 providers and a large patient base serving children, adolescents and adults. You will play a critical role as LOA continues to grow in Illinois.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including therapists, social workers, and psychologists.
  • Ensure that all patient care is delivered in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure that all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing with a focus on psychiatric care.
  • Current certification in Illinois as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing psychiatric care in a clinical setting.
  • A desire to work across the age spectrum with children, adolescents and adults.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to psychiatric care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
