Who You Are
You are an experienced Safety Manager in the construction field. You enjoy educating personnel on the safety and health risks that must be considered when planning and executing commercial construction jobsite related tasks. You can motivate jobsite personnel to implement safety protocols to protect them from work-related injuries and illnesses. You portray a positive attitude and demonstrate professionalism.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone with:
- Position is primarily based in or around the Columbus, Ohio market
- 5 years of construction Safety experience with Safety Degree or 5 years of experience with a CHST certification
- CSP or ASP certification preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Solid experience in, and understanding of, the construction process
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- The ability to:
- Analyze and quickly resolve issues
- Conduct comprehensive onsite safety assessments, identifying, analyzing, and mitigating construction site hazards
- Complete Job Hazard Analysis forms
- Effectively communicate job specific Emergency Action Plans and ensure they are understood
- Ensure:
- Proper PPE is available to field personnel and provide training on proper use
- Tools and equipment are maintained and in proper working order
- Safety meetings and safety trainings are consistently provided onsite
- Educate field personnel on:
- Site-specific topic via weekly Toolbox Talks
- Proper accident reporting documentation, ensuring required records/reports are complete and accurate
- Participate in
- Pre-construction and hand-off meetings
- Investigations of all accidents and effectively complete required documentation
- Project Management meetings
- Create, maintain, and implement worksite safety practice training programs
- Assist in meeting the safety needs and specifications of the owner or general contractor
- Assist Superintendent in post-accident treatment of injuries
