Lighthouse Lab Services is representing a hospital lab near the Lawrence area that is looking to add a Per-Diem Cytotechnologist to join their roster of awesome employees! Sounds like something you'd be interested in?
- Accurately performs microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens, maintaining GYN discrepancy rates within acceptable levels, and correlating observed findings with patient age and provided information.
- Attends and assists with specimen processing of fine needle aspirate cases, ensuring slides of high quality are produced. Maintains FNA cart and supplies.
- Participates in CAP educational activities for GYN and non-GYN case types.
- Effectively communicates status of workload to supervisor.
- Demonstrates proficient use of the Laboratory Information System.
Basic Preferred Profile:
- Bachelors in Cytoechnology or from an Accredited Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) in Cytotechnology.
- 1 years of Cyotech experience.
- CT (ASCP)
- Thin-Prep Certified preferred.
