Job Title Lead Technician COOPER LIGHTING SOLUTIONS Job Description We’re looking for a Compliance Technician to join our Engineering Services Team in Peachtree City GA. As a Compliance Technician you’ll be responsible for setting up and performing electrical, mechanical, and thermal testing to ensure product safety. Able to work within company safety guidelines in accordance with various testing procedures including Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL), Canadian Standard Association (CSA), and IES. Experienced with the proper use and care of electrical devices including Power Supplies, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, and Handheld Probes is required. What you’ll do Support the NPD and Energy Compliance Engineering teams to: Play a critical role in preparing test samples and performing various compliance and safety tests, using electrical test and measurement equipment, and following DAP guidelines to ensure compliance to regulatory standards. Take part in training and adhere to our DAP certification requirements and Quality Management System. Perform regular audits of the lab’s test results and processes to ensure delivering a high-quality product using world class development processes. Your qualifications Vocational/Trade School/Technical school in aligned area of study: Electrical, electronics, engineering, or equivalent work experience. Well-developed written and oral communication skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, display strong attention to details, and above average attendance. Ability to use multiple software packages efficiently including SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and unique testing software. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a product test environment with the ability to interpret results and generate test reports is preferred. Experience with board level electronics is a preferred.
