Job Posting for Childcare Worker at Lilac City Early Learning Center
The Lilac City Early Learning Center staff is excited to add to our team. We are looking for a dependable, caring teacher to serve as classroom assistant in our center. Position is full time and can average 30 hours per week or 40 hours per week, depending on applicants preference.

Job duties include:
- To arrive ready to work at scheduled time and be prepared to stay until shift is over.
- Plan both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
- Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child
- Assist in completing quarterly assessment of children's development
- Participate in Parent-Teacher conferences
- Maintain daily open communication with parents
- Maintain confidentiality
- Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials
- Attend in-service and staff meetings
- Supervise aides and volunteers in the classroom
- Keep all appropriate records such as attendance, medication, incident reports and time sheets
- Meet all applicable licensing regulations
- Wear child friendly clothing and accessories
- Update and maintain online records through MERIT
HOURLY PAY: DOE
All applicants must have, or be willing to obtain upon hire, Negative TB Test (past 12 months), Blood Borne Pathogens training, Infant/Child CPR & First Aid Certification, DCYF Background Check, DCYF Mandatory Training (online) and 30 Hour Basic STARS training (within 90 days of hire).
