Technology Coordinator, Olino Pathways

Job Description  Job Purpose: The ‘Olino Pathways Technology Coordinator is responsible for general oversight of State-wide visual technology programming, Teaching Artists, and Partners. The coordinator will maintain a state-wide view and awareness of youth interests and needs in these areas, and will assist in facilitating the development of responsive, accessible, and engaging programming to meet those needs. Housed at the new Lili’uokalani Center (LC), the ‘Olino Pathways Technology Coordinator will work collaboratively with other Pathway Coordinators and LT leadership to set the vision for programming and will engage in ongoing quality assurance and evaluation efforts. Essential Responsibilities: Manage technology Teaching Artists and relevant partners. In collaboration with other Pathways Coordinators, partners, and Youth Program leadership, develop and implement relevant, engaging, and creative group activities, workshops, and ongoing programming inclusive of daily, weekly, and monthly schedules. Ensure an appropriate balance of drop-in and closed programming, including opportunities for special events and workshops. Working closely with teammates across kipuka, develop and implement region-specific programming. In collaboration with teammates and Community Resources team, identify and cultivate relevant community partnerships. Maintain strong relationships with local and national partners and serve as a clearinghouse for partnership implementation. In collaboration with Pathways Coordinators [MP1] and other teammates, identify local and national subject experts and best-in-class programs in technology to learn from and partner with Oversee co-located partners, as appropriate, and ensure program integration. Oversee participation in state and national leagues, coalitions, and other membership-based associations, as deemed appropriate by leadership. Through intentional programmatic development, design, and implementation, cultivate a sense of community and social/emotional support for participants. Ensure that programming emphasizes a connection to the broader world balanced with deep understanding of Native Hawaiian culture, highlighting opportunities for learning and advancement for participants while also strengthening ties to local communities. Collaborate with state-wide teammates to create and facilitate opportunities for capacity building, learning, and increased technological fluency for teammates, community-members, and youth. Work collaboratively with the Research & Evaluation team to design data collection processes that provide regular, actionable feedback from participants to inform program design. Establish strong ties to LT’s Youth Advisory Committee, increasing opportunities for youth voice and youth leadership throughout visual arts and technology program development. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends in youth services and technology, ensuring that community initiatives and programmatic strategies are aligned with current needs and environment. Work collaboratively with program leadership to ensure appropriate staffing and supervision of all program spaces. Provide program coverage as necessary. Provide ongoing support and guidance for program teammates across LC. Other duties: Participate in program planning, budget development, revision, and evaluation. Provides transportation for organization related business, such as driving staff, beneficiaries and/or families to assigned destinations. Participates in continuing education and training opportunities for professional development. Contribute to the Trust’s success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and supporting the organization in achieving strategic goals. Qualifications: BA in related field preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience with robotics, computer engineering, and coding is preferred At least four years of experience in youth work Valid driver’s license, clean traffic abstract TB clearance Job Competencies: Collaboration: Ability to interact effectively with youth, community partners, and multi-disciplinary teams. Travel Requirements: In alignment with our organizational competencies of Alu Like I ka Hana (Teamwork) and Ho`omau i ka `imi Na`auao (Continuous Learning and Improvement), this position will require occasional travel across the island, inter-island, and out-of-state depending on the needs of the team and the organization. While travel may not always be a need, the ability to travel when required remains a crucial aspect of this position.
