Job Title: Dental Assistant Location: Pottersville, New Jersey Job Type: Full Time About Us: We are a family owned, patient-centric dental practice located in Pottersville, New Jersey. We're seeking a skilled and passionate Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is motivated, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. Job Description: As a Dental Assistant, you will support the dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act. Hours: Mondays and Thusday 7:30am to 6:30pm Tuesday 9:30am -8:30pm Key Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. Set up and break down treatment rooms; sterilize instruments. Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays). Prepare and ensure necessary materials and equipment are available for dental procedures. Record treatment information in patient records. Provide patients with pre and post-operative instructions following oral surgery or other dental treatment procedures. Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment. Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Dental Assistant certification as per New Jersey state regulations. Prior experience as a Dental Assistant would be advantageous. Excellent understanding of dental procedures and terminology. Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods. Understanding of health & safety regulations.
