What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Paralegal position at Lillibridge Healthcare Services?
The Corporate Paralegal will support the Legal Department primarily in the areas of administering corporate records, maintenance of corporate entity database (hCue) management, state filings to maintain numerous company subsidiaries in good-standing, legal research and to perform all other tasks and special projects as may be assigned by the General Counsel, other company attorneys or the Manager, Director, Entity & Regulatory.
Corporate Paralegal will generally be responsible for:
- Corporate Records: Prepare and file corporate state filings to qualify and maintain entity good-standing
- Assist with miscellaneous internal/external requests for information
- Perform research related to corporate documents and entities
- Provide assistance in maintaining corporate organizational records, including updating corporate record books, uploading and maintaining documents and corporate entity vital changes in hCue, providing hCue user training and generating hCue reports as needed in a back-up capacity
- Document requests for closings
- DBA (doing business as) facilities filings, maintain and track renewals
- Prepare and File Foreign Qualifications
- Track deadlines
- Follow-up on outstanding items
- Check documents/signature blocks for legal entity accuracy
- Obtain document signatures
- Miscellaneous:
- Support legal department and corporate executives on special projects and other legal matters, as requested
- All other duties as assigned by the General Counsel, other company attorneys or the Manager, Corporate Compliance
Requirements
Candidate should possess an Associate’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal studies with 3 years corporate paralegal experience preferred.
Experience in corporate records management and entity organization a plus.
Candidate should possess the following:
- Ability to work with many deadlines, time requirement conflicts and management pressures
- Ability to exercise independent thought and judgment
- Subject to frequent interruptions; ability to switch attention between tasks quickly
- Subject to working long hours, including after hours and weekends, from time to time as needed
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and relationships within a fast-paced, team-oriented and lean environment
- Flexibility and willingness to assist in other areas as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
