Work Schedule: Fully remote with occasional travel
Clearance: Active Secret clearance preferred
Role Overview:
As the CAD Designer, you will edit or create Product Baseline drawings (e.g. ASME CAD) for communications technology. You will work on a team to create and edit technical/instructional manuals and training materials supporting the U.S. Department of Defense. Your primary role within the team will be to utilize your skills to generate product documents including, exporting and manipulation across various software applications such as AutoCAD, Creo, Solidworks, Photoshop, and others, to support the development of technical manuals.
General Skillset
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both collaboratively and individually
- Critical Thinking Skills
- Ability to give presentations and briefings as needed
Specific Skillset
- Manage schematics, and drawings designated for technical manual revisions and physical Product Baseline changes in coordination with Configuration Management
- Use product drawings development software to support the creation of technical manuals
- Draft various product components using AutoCAD, Creo, Solidworks, and other software
Requirements
Education & Certifications
- A degree or Professional Certificate in drafting, CAD, or a related field.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 Years of experience in drafting
- Experience creating drawings for technical manuals, instructional manuals, training materials, or other informational work.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience with Department of Defense programs
- Experience with graphics development tools associated with MIL-STD-40051 A and B technical manuals development and/or editing
- Experience using Adobe Suite products, AutoCAD, Snagit, Creo, and/or other similar tool sets
