Lincoln Academy Charter School, located in Arvada, Colorado, is a PreK-8 Jefferson County Public Charter school dedicated to Core Knowledge principles.

We are seeking a full-time in-house substitute teacher. This full-time in-house substitute teacher has the primary responsibility for delivering specific grade-level instruction in the classroom while maintaining a safe, caring, and orderly environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
● Follow the teacher's written lesson plans
● Create a positive learning environment
● Ensure that the goals of the plans are met
● Consult with the principal and/or staff to resolve questions and/or concerns
● Comply with all building procedures and schedules
● Prepare a written summary of work completed and any special notes
● Implement effective management procedures, maintain high expectations and uphold the student conduct code
● Manage student behavior by establishing and holding students accountable to school rules and procedures
● Work cooperatively with other teachers
● Uphold computer technology acceptable use policies
● Build a working knowledge of the curriculum
● Maintain the confidentiality of privileged information
● Take precautions to ensure staff/student safety
● Provide appropriate and consistent supervision
● Report evidence of suspected child abuse as required by law
● Supervise non-classroom duties when assigned
● Accepts personal responsibility for decisions and conduct
● Develop appropriate student relationships and serve as a positive role model for others
● As needed, subbing in a long term position. If planning is required, a stipend will be added.
● Performs other specific job-related duties as directed
Minimum Qualifications:
● CDE substitute license or teaching license

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
