What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anaplan model builder position at Lincoln Financial Group?
What you'll be doing
- Builds and evaluates business requirements and consult with stakeholders to ensure model design reflects business needs.
- Develops an understanding of insurance concepts and terminology in particular individual life insurance, annuities, group insurance, and / or retirement planning.
- Designs, builds, and maintains functionality and solutions in Anaplan that are in line with best practices.
- Continuously monitors and optimize Anaplan models for performance.
- Develops and maintains strong documentation on assumptions, models, and processes for end users and other model builders.
- Establishes team as the Core Anaplan Center of Excellence at Lincoln. This will involve providing training and support to end-users and assist with adoption and proficiency of Anaplan across the organization.
- Serves as a resource on best practices using Anaplan while maintaining knowledge of current and emerging trends of the ecosystem.
What we’re looking for
Must-Haves :
- Anaplan Model Builder certified.
- 3-5 years of experience working as a model builder in Anaplan or another EPM tool.
- 4 Year Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience (Minimum Required)
- An analytical and curious mindset with problem-solving skills and great attention to detail.
- Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
- Ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
Nice To-Haves :
- Anaplan Solution Architect certified.
- Familiarity with QuickSight, Power BI or other Business Intelligence software.
- Background in insurance domain in particular individual life insurance, annuities, group insurance, and / or retirement planning.

Pay Range : $67,000 - $120,700 Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.
The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
