The Role at a Glance
Lincoln Financial Group is looking for an experienced software engineer with a passion for front-end development to make an immediate impact on our strategy to consolidate, and enhance, our customer's self-service experiences. In this role, you will be part of an agile development team that practices full DevOps, and will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting a portfolio of web applications and services. What you'll be doing
- Designing and building cloud native web, and mobile-web, solutions for our customers and their employees
- Supporting and maintaining a portfolio of applications and services with a focus on security, quality, and currency
- Collaborating with engineers, product owners, and user experience/user interface (UX/UI) designers to plan and execute on business priorities through an agile delivery model
- Leading and mentoring junior engineers
- Embracing a culture of ownership, accountability, and innovative thinking
What we're looking for
Must-haves:
- 6-9 years of experience building modern web and mobile-web front-end applications and services
- 3-5 years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (React.js preferred, Vue, Angular, or Svelte acceptable)
- 3 years of experience building and deploying cloud-native solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Competent with Java (Spring Boot), Python, or similar back-end programming languages for building 12-factor apps
- DevOps (build, run, own) mentality and well-versed in agile delivery
- 4 Year/Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
Nice-to-haves:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience or certifications
- General knowledge of relational and non-relational (NoSQL) databases

Pay Range:
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.
