The Role at a Glance
This person will provide strategic leadership and direction enabling the achievement of business objectives through the development and delivery of best-in-class scalable processes. Through innovative solutions, strong partnerships, and collaboration this person will also achieve operational excellence, with various center of excellences, enabling the achievement of strategic and tactical business objectives.
What you'll be doing:
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies.
- Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Identifies and directs strategic process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent.
- Provides strategic leadership and direction to continually improve the capability and results for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Translates department strategy, capacity, and demand into an integrated operations project roadmap with key performance indicators while ensuring the project portfolio is managed effectively.
- Informs senior leadership of recruiting successes and challenges and advises on innovative solutions and recruiting strategy.
- Reduces risk and protects the company’s reputation and brand image by prioritizing regulatory compliance, data integrity, and audits in its recruiting practices.
- Directs/conducts analyses, identifying opportunities to drive recruiting, talent, and operational excellence towards enhanced performance.
- Leads, develops, and coaches team members on day-to-day responsibilities, activities, performance, and strategies while guiding the team through a high-volume recruiting environment.
- Directs and implements key initiatives and processes stemming from continuous improvement including training.
- Oversees pre-employment background and drug screen vendors and provides oversight to team members to ensure consistent administration of these processes.
- Provides direction and guidance while overseeing the candidate and new hire onboarding process to ensure consistency in Lincoln Financial Group’s policies and practices.
- Leads and/or supports operational and financial activities including processes, systems, compliance, reporting, budget planning / management and enterprise recruitment spend.
- Participates in the development and delivery of comprehensive reporting and metrics that provide timely and valuable information and that support our goals and deliverables.
- Partners with internal stakeholders to identify trends and leverage knowledge, data, and competitive intelligence to develop customized/robust recruiting operations function and reporting.
- Researches cutting-edge technologies; reviews and assesses new tools and systems and makes recommendations.
- Maintains and facilitates relationships with vendors that are being utilized to support the Recruiting function.
- Acts as a key interface with vendors across Recruiting, Organizational leadership, and Employee Experience and conducts annual vendor assessments to ensure SLAs are being met as agreed upon.
- Partners with internal stakeholders regarding recruiting vendor contract negotiations, vendor management, and quality assurance.
- Leads projects and activities for the departments within the talent function focused on process improvement, efficiency optimization and innovation through enabling technology.
What we're looking for:
Must haves:
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
- 10 Years experience in Human Resource Program Management, Continuous Improvement, or Change Management including 3 years of experience leading project teams through all phases of project lifecycle. (Required)
- 3 Years managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience including influencing critical stakeholder experience. (Required)

- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement processes improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, retain, develop and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills.

- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
- Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
- Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of program management including driving, implementing, execution and follow-through.
- Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to extract and evaluate complex data and identify areas for further analysis.
