What are the responsibilities and job description for the NPI Project Manager position at Lincoln Group Inc?
Lincoln Group Industrial Services has partnered with an exceptional client in the Biopharmaindustry that is looking for an NPI Project Manager to join their team on a direct-hire basis! This position will be responsible for ensuring the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of multiple New Product Introduction projects through to production fall within the standards of our client’s Product Strategy and NPI Roadmap.
Type of Hire: Direct Hire
Reports to: Director of Product Design and R&D
Location: On-site in Camarillo
Compensation: Up to $110K/year, plus benefits, 401K, and PTO.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Participate in defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, risks, and timelines in collaboration with other teams.
- Manage integrated project teams, including external partners to deliver projects on time, within budget to quality standards.
- Conduct regular team projects status reviews for individual projects and updating project metrics.
- Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
- Create and track development budgets.
- Conduct project gate reviews in line with project timing and NPI process requirements to meet deliverables on time.
- Ensure NPI projects are following the agreed Stage Gate Process using the required tools and templates.
- Use phase gated NPI project toolkit.
- Hold frequent design review meetings during the prototyping phase to assure the proper track is being followed.
- Maintain an overview of all assigned projects and communication status with NPU manager and/or senior leadership.
- Mentor, train, coach and facilitate Project Management and Operational Excellence skills.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in design/Mechanical Engineering and/or Business Administration. A Master’s is a plus.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Project Management Institute (PMI) or FXP certification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Project Management Office (PMO) with focus on NPI projects experience in R&D projects or Product Management.
- Ability to act with the highest professionalism, exercise independent judgement, and decision-making while weighing the interests of multiple stakeholders.
- Capability to demonstrate project management standards.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma and KAIZEN methodologies.
- Ability to travel on occasion.
- Requires valid CA Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance.
- Hands-on experience using NPI Stage-Gate Process.
- Ability to delegate, inspire, and communicate effectively.
- Understanding of Project Management tools, preferably Smartsheet.
- Excellent design thinking experience.
- Industry background: preferably Biotech, Life Sciences, MedTech, Pharma or Aviation.
