What are the responsibilities and job description for the Live-in Dorm Parent, Part-time position at LINDEN HALL?
Linden Hall, located in Lititz, Pennsylvania, is the nation's oldest independent boarding and day school for girls. The School is looking for a personable, Residential Life Staff member with excellent communication skills, an interest in girls’ learning, and international communities. We welcome engaging, high-energy applicants to work with both middle and upper school students.
Candidates must be able to work 2 weekday 4 hour shifts between the hours of 3:00PM-11:30 PM and 2 weekend 7-8 hour shifts averaging 14 weekends per school year. This position is a live-on-campus position.
- Mentor and care for boarding students
- Engage in weekend activities with students
- Inform students of and ensure compliance with Linden Hall's policies guidelines for campus conduct as expressed in the Student Handbook
- Administer first aid and daily medications as needed
- Transport students to appointments and activities
- Orient new students to Linden Hall community and dorm life
- Ability to drive minivans and 9 passenger vans. Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
- Strong interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Prior experience working with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds preferred
- Prior experience working in a residential life program preferred
