The Director of Women’s Services is a key component of Link House, Inc.’s leadership team and serves as a manager and spokesperson for the supportive housing women’s programs, namely The Maris Center for Women and WISH. The Director of Women’s Services is responsible for ensuring maximum compliance in all aspects of treatment provisions and assists with financial management, and team/program development. This position is responsible to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and staff as well as the successful daily operations of the assigned residential group homes. This includes ensuring the house meets all agency and regulatory quality indicators and standards, hiring, training and supervision of staff, and ensuring needs of residents are met.
The Director of Women’s Services reports directly to the Senior Director of Services.
FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Maris Center and WISH
- With the Senior Director of Services, establish short and long term goals to achieve program goals
- Plan, organize, direct and evaluate program activities
- Administer approved policies
- Manage staff; organize and oversee work schedules and assignments to meet operational needs.
- In conjunction with the Senior Director of Services, monitor staff performance, provide supervision (when needed), direction, training, and coaching. Assist with counseling, disciplinary, and corrective action processes as necessary.
- Manages fiscal operations including collecting, recording and submitting rents.
- Oversee the cleanliness, repair and safety of program buildings.
- Oversee the activities of residents of programs.
- Ensure that all residents receive case management services as required.
- Ensures the coordination, delivery, and documentation of evidenced-based and trauma informed supports and intervention
- Ensures adherence to all DPH/BSAS policies and procedures and compliance with all state and local licensing/certification requirements and regulations
- Creates and maintains best practices in all aspects of the management of the programs.
- Collaborates with referral sources, community groups and local businesses to strengthen and support the mission of Link House Inc.
- Evaluate the programs and make recommendations to Senior Director of Services.
- Ensure services are recovery-oriented and inclusive
- Provide emergency coverage of the program as needed, including managing call-outs and scheduling per diem staff, as well as, possible coverage of shifts if staffing cannot be coordinated for a shift.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Supervisory / Management: Direct supervisory responsibilities of Maris Center and WISH staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- The Program Director should have a minimum of an associate’s degree with LADC certification preferred
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in field with mental health and substance use disorder population.
- Experience managing a program with co-occurring disorders, staff and residential management experience required
- Supervisory experience required.
- Training and experience Stages of Change, Screening, Brief Intervention, Referral, and Treatment (SBIRT), Substance Abuse Treatment, Housing, Harm Reduction, and Motivational Interviewing preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- First Aid, CPR within three months of hire required.
- At the discretion of Link House management, qualifying criteria may be waived in whole or part when deemed appropriate.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings: CORI, and drug screen
