Shift and Hours:
Full-time day shift position, Monday - Friday.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting all tooling requirements regarding New Product Development, and all existing production tooling. Obtains special skill sets, and performs at a high level with limited supervision. CNC programming, utilizing cam software, the ability to train others while providing technical support to Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Tooling departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize CNC programming and CAM software to continuously improve efficiency and capabilities regarding the tooling validation and build process.
- Expertise in CNC machining operations, setups, processes, work instructions, documentation, and provides technical support/training to other tooling and production personal.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Tooling Designers to insure Design for Manufacturing regarding tooling and fixtures.
- Plans machining procedures in advance regarding, work orders, blue prints, materials, and identifying special characteristics involved with providing solutions.
- Participates and initiates continuous improvement activities providing problem solving solutions to improve the tooling build, design, process, etc.
- Understands and executes the tooling build process from start to finish including tooling repair and update procedures.
- Complete specified Preventative Maintenance (PM) of the equipment within the tooling and machining area, and maintain accurate and up-to-date PM records.
- Perform welding, fixture assembly, heat treatment, and preventative maintenance for tooling and fixtures within the tooling build process.
- Provide programming and cam software assistance for production as requested by the Tooling Supervisor.
- Perform other duties and special assignments as requested by Tooling Supervisor or assigned by the organization.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· Two-year certificate from college or technical school or three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Strong blue print interpretation and problem solving skills. Strong measuring skills with various measuring tools.
· Ability to utilize software in programming machining equipment.
· Understands machining and fixture build quality expectations to make appropriate programming adjustments to achieve desired results.
Essential Job Functions:
Have the ability to work scheduled hours including overtime when needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to fingers in handling, grasping, or feeling objects, tools, or controls for an extended period of time. The employee must be able to occasionally work above the shoulder height and frequently have neck flexion and extension. The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit and frequently required to see, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
