Accountant

Link Restaurant Group was founded by James Beard Award winning Chefs Donald Link and
Stephen Stryjewski, with the goal to support the continuous growth of their family of restaurants
in New Orleans. Currently that includes Herbsaint, Cochon, Cochon Butcher, Peche Seafood
Grill, Gianna, La Boulangerie and Calcasieu Private Dining. Growing up in south Louisiana

The Accountant position is responsible for the accounting activities for all divisions of the
company. This includes assisting department management in the processes of the accounting
cycle, general ledger maintenance and financial reporting. This position will also serve as
support for other accounting positions as well as assisting in standardizing the general ledger
function across properties, ensuring that procedures and reporting are consistent.

Responsibilities:

• Support most aspects of accounting management
• Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements
• Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of weekly financial reports
• Enter online sales & match with Stripe transactions/process payouts and make entries for fees
• Manage insurance and workers comp payments and reconciliations
• Participate and assist in preparation of annual/periodic miscellaneous audits (401-K, Insurance, etc.)
• Help in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies
• Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
• Utilize accounting systems to facilitate processes and maintain records
• Contribute to keeping the accounting and financial processes of the company up to a high standard, ensuring accurate financial reporting and controls

accountability is assumed for the work performed in this position. Work may be subject to review
by the Director of Finance, Controller or other managers. Work is guided by Company policies
and procedures, GAAP and the departmental goals. Additionally, Federal and State regulation
must be adhered to at all times.

Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years’ accounting experience
• Hospitality industry accounting experience a plus
• Experience in working with general accounting systems
• Intermediate to advanced Excel experience
• Ability to work under pressure to meet all required deadlines
• Ability to work independently and meet performance objectives
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify ways to improve efficiency
• Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills with others (internal and external)
• Ability to handle confidential financial information and use discretion in information sharing

Physical Demands

The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
