Job Objective:
The global purpose of the Consulting Services Engineering team is to take care of a project on the technical aspects from the PO reception until the system is in production and validated by the Customer. The team is in charge of the project deployment and interacts with any others Oracle services (i.e. PSEs, PM, Design Support, TAC, pre-sales, Consulting/Product sales, order management, Logistic, Installation companies, sub-contractors etc.) in order to increase the consulting efficiency and solve the issues and ensure a professional and high quality work along the project. The team takes care of the handover to the Support Services team which will be in charge of the maintenance of the system.
The position requires very good knowledge and experience on Oracle Communications core 4G (OCPM…Policy Management, vDSR singling routing) and 5G (SCP, NRF, PCF, SEPP, BSF, SLF-UDR, NEF, etc.) products including CI/CD and ATS roll out with CNE/Cloud for these products.
Job Description:
Principal Technical Consultant will be responsible for designing and delivering customer solutions for the professional services organization. This person has primary responsibility for the technical viability of a customer solution. The Consultant will work with the sales staff, other delivery personnel, partners, and sub-contractors to successfully scope and deliver customer solutions.
Key activities performed by the Consultant will include:
1. Technical solution analysis, architecture, and design
2. Delivery process definition (Implementation Strategies)
3. Migration and Database Conversion planning
4. Performance Optimization/automation/scripting
5. Integration/Interoperability/automated Testing
Primary responsibilities of the Consultant are:
· Provide Professional services for Oracle Communications Cloud Native (CN) based 5G (PCF, NRF, SCP, IWF, UDR, NSSF, SEPP, SLF, BSF, etc.) and 4G virtual diameter signaling router (vDSR) solutions including ATS (Automated Test Suit).
· Services provided include initial system implementation design and architect, network integration, system provisioning, capacity analysis, special feature implementation, Test Plan creation and execution. CI/CD knowledge is a plus.
· Service delivery activities include on-site and remote implementation of new systems, technical discussions, and explanations of proposed solutions with customers, development of methods of procedure and other documentation as required by the customer.
· Create, maintain, and execute detailed Methods of Procedures (MOP’s), Operation Test Plan (OTP), Completion Notices (CN’s), project plans, and schedules of activities and deliverables.
· Design and Creation of use cases, call flows, policy rules, routing rules, and database query logic/scripts based on customer’s Business and Service Use Cases.
· Support Pre-Sales activities such as demonstrations, trials, and Solution scope definition.
· Participate in the design, delivery, and administration of a Mentorship program for Professional Services personnel and Partners.
· Assist project managers with project planning and scheduling.

· Knowledge & experience of data communications concepts of network architecture, TCP/IP Protocol suite, SNMP, NTP, Kafka streaming, Corba, JMS, and troubleshooting.ds.
· Knowledge & experience with the following LAN technologies: Ethernet (10/100/1000/10G), VLANs, Spanning-Tree, and switching knowledge.
· Knowledge & experience with VPN, IPSec, SCTP, TLS, IPv4, and IPv6, and Routing Protocols/technologies. Ansible Tower/Playbook, REST API knowledge is a plus.
· Knowledge & experience with platforms framework and Operating Systems: Strong Linux/Unix, Windows, Cloud Native (cn), Kubernetes (K8s), Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, Jaeger, Jenkins, Selenium, HP Rack-mount server & Server Blade platform. CNE (OpenShift or VMWare or Oracle), Openstack, and Kubernates certification preferred.
· Strong Knowledge/experience of core 4G & 5G Technologies: Diameter (RFC 3588) protocol/applications/interfaces/http2, LTE/EPC/IMS architectures (PCRF, PCEF, MME, BBERF, CSCF, DRA, OCS, OFCS). Familiar with 3GPP standards.
· Knowledge & Experience of subscriber database technologies: HLR, HSS, SPR, EIR, ENUM, AAA, SDS, MySQL, DB query/scripting (pearl/python).
· Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with Field service experience in customer facing roles.
· Ability to effectively deal with multiple activities, changing priorities, organizational skills and ability to perform under pressure in critical situations.
· Willingness to travel up to 50%, for domestic and international travel and willing to work in shifts.
· Strong oral and written communications skills and must be able to clearly and effectively communicate work status, risks, and issues. Education
· BS required, MS preferred in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
· 5 years’ experience in implementation of large scale service provider network infrastructures.
· 3 years working in the services Architecture/Design/Consulting industry.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry with specialization in IMS, LTE/EPC, diameter/http2 (4G & 5G) and a good exposure to network functions such as NRF, PCF, SCP, AMF, UDR, SEPP, NSSF, NEF, SEPP, and BSF.
· CCNP or equivalent IP networking and K8s/cloud (OCI/AWS) certification preferred
