Primary Counselor
Our client is a licensed, accredited addiction treatment center that offers hope and healing to those struggling with substance use disorders. Their comprehensive continuum of care includes withdrawal management and residential treatment programs that help people in the early stages of recovery. Using evidence-based therapies and treatment programs. A compassionate and experienced team provides individualized care that addresses the unique needs of each person.
The Primary Counselor is responsible for case management of clients to help break the cycle of addiction and return to their families and communities from a place of resilience.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Primary Counselor include the completion of intake after pre-assessment, developing individualized service and treatment plans, presenting clients in treatment team meetings, maintaining contact with appropriate individuals, discharge and referral planning. The Primary Counselor will conduct didactic lectures, client groups, and other therapeutic activities.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in human services field or equivalent years working in addiction treatment
- CSAC (or under supervision)
- Licensed clinician preferred (LPC, LCSW, LMFT or LSATP)
Experience/Skills
- Minimum of one-year experience working in a human service/substance abuse treatment setting
- Familiarity with 12-step recovery programs
- Experience with an electronic medical record system
- Individual and Group Counseling
Job Type
Full Time, 40 hours per week, may include some weekends and holidays

Salary : $57,200 - $72,400
