Process Operator II Job description

Under limited supervision this role must be able to operate multiple types of equipment/machines used for manufacturing processes according to company specifications, quality and safety objectives. The Process Operator II is responsible for inspecting, calibrating, adjusting, and troubleshooting the production equipment as well as perform preventative/general maintenance as needed.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Multiple machine operation and responsibility
2. Must thoroughly understand processes and independently anticipate decisions that affect product quality
3. Ability to communicate effectively as well as possess basic leadership skills
4. Ability to accurately record data
5. Knowledge of plant processing. Complete understanding of operations/data recording of 2 or more of the following areas, LDY (raw), cutting system/screw presses, drum controls, milling, coolers and railcar loading
6. Ability to communicate well with crew members and shift supervisor
7. Make recommendations to improve processes and equipment operations
8. Be a resource to train new employees on equipment and procedures
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
· Ability to operate forklift and other heavy machinery
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Education & Experience Level:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Experience in manufacturing environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
