Class B Driver

Linworth Lumber is a leading building material supplier in the central Ohio area. We are currently seeking a dependable and hard-working individual to join our delivery team. A minimum of a class B CDL is required.

Regular hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. Additional overtime may be required at the discretion of the general manager.

Job Purpose:To deliver materials and products to final destination

Scope of Responsibilities:Delivers materials and products to final destination; Maintains delivery trucks; Straps down materials on truck; Helps clean the yard and put away stock when needed; May load trucks when needed; Assists with annual inventory; May help in training new drivers

Knowledge, Skill, Training, Licenses, Experience and/or Abilities:

· 1-3 Years of experience in driving commercial vehicle

· Minimum of Class B CDL

· Candidate must be detail oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy

· Basic math skills are required

· Ability to read and write

· Candidate must possess alertness and precision while driving

Equipment/Software/Technology used:

· Frequent use of delivery trucks, including box trucks, semi trailer, and flat bed

· Occasional use of a calculator

Essential physical and mental functions:

· Candidate must be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner.

· Candidate must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely

· Candidate must be able to climb in and out of trucks

Working Conditions:

Combination of Indoor, temperature controlled environment and outdoor weather conditions including cold, heat, snow, wind, ice, rain, etc. including driving in such conditions

Safety Requirements:

All employees are expected to adhere to the safety regulations set forth by OSHA and company policies. This may include, but is not limited to; eye protection in plants, hardhats outdoors, seat belts worn in all company vehicles, limited cell phone use and regular safety training.

Management reserves the right to assign or re-assign duties as they see fit.
