Linz Electric Inc. is part of the Pedrollo Group and manufactures high quality industrial alternators used in generators and lighting towers. Job Summary
The warehouse lead is responsible for all warehouse operations that include but are not limited to order fulfillment, customer deliveries, warehouse organization, inventory maintenance, and operating warehouse equipment. Opportunity to grow into full time position (36-40 hours within 3 months). Great opportunity for career advancement beyond warehouse work given we are a small company !
Responsibilities
- Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment including but not limited to: forklift, pallet jack, shrink wrapper, and strapping machine.
- Great opportunity to grow with additional responsibilities like Sales Support, Logistics, & Administration.
- Verify documentation matches freight description (e.g. type, weight, quantity)
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports
- Assist with freight quotes and prepare all freight documentation (bill of lading, packing slip, customs forms, etc.)
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
- Pull materials to fill orders in an organized and accurate manner
- Check pulled goods quantity and type against sales order to confirm accuracy
- Load and unload goods in a safe and secure fashion
- Ensure loads are properly secured prior to transport
- Maintain spare parts inventory
- Put away goods received according to instructions from management
- Note any damaged goods and notify management
- Observe all safety regulations
- Ensure clear and safe passages in warehouse area and loading dock
- Perform minor product repairs
- Keep warehouse clean and organized
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills:
- Operate material handling equipment including forklift, pallet jack, and shrink wrapper
- Identify product/model numbers and alpha numeric codes
- Ability to lift/carry boxes/freight of varying weights several times a day up to approximately 50 pounds up to several times a day. Ability to lift dock plate weighing 50-75 lbs.
- Ability to count and perform basic math
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience with computer order entry and inventory systems
- Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
- Meet physical requirements of the job
- Achieve set goals in a timely manner
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, pushing/pulling freight throughout shift
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- 1 year forklift experience preferred
- Previous dock/warehouse, freight handling, distribution, shipping experience preferred
- Computer/data entry experience preferred - Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, Word required
- Ability to obtain freight quotes and freight shop extremely helpful

- Frequent contact with service center and freight company personnel; fast paced, deadline oriented'
- Steel toed boots required
