Job Summary

Hourly Part Time/Full Time SALES position that is responsible for all aspects of customer service, store merchandising, and store maintenance. Qualified applicant should be able to work a variety of shifts with an emphasis on nights and weekends. Applicants should be comfortable with working solo shifts without supervision. Applicants should be prompt and ready to work all scheduled shifts. All applicants should be neat and tidy in appearance while being well groomed.

Duties/Responsibilities

Sales: (Customer Service and POS)

  • Focus on professional interactions with customers and co-workers while maintaining a positive company image.
  • Focus on professional phone interactions.
  • Focus on product knowledge in order to be able to promote products or answer customers questions.
  • Focus on Selling, Upselling, and Cross-selling in order to build sales.
  • Focus on accurate, quick, and transparent money handling.
  • Focus on following all company mandated polices as they pertain to POS operations.
  • Focus on being able to perform all functions on the POS systems.
  • Focus on wrapping and bagging customer merchandise in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Focus on being able to maintain or exceed all sales performance goals.
  • Focus on resolving any customer issue promptly and professionally to the customers satisfaction.
  • Focus on being able to promote all company Social Media platforms and channels.
  • Focus on providing attentive customer service to deter theft.
  • Focus on being able to professionally address uncomfortable situations or interactions.
  • Focus on being a good sales person as well as being a good sales team member.
  • Focus on ongoing sales training and product learning opportunities.
  • Focus on attending all scheduled mandatory store meetings

Product Preparation and Merchandising: (Stocking)

  • Focus on being able to use all company supplied tools to process merchandise accurately and timely.
  • This will include pricing guns, handheld computers, lingerie tag guns, box cutters, taping guns, etc.
  • Focus on being able to recognize product categories and maintain store sections in accordance with regional/store specifications.
  • Focus on following basic directions to complete simple to more complex merchandising projects.
  • Focus on communicating any product concerns to management in a timely and professional way.
  • Focus on the maintenance and organization of all backstock areas.
  • Focus of the accurate use of product signage and promotional display signage.

Store Maintenance: (Cleaning)

  • Focus on accurately completing all assigned cleaning task in a timely manner.
  • Focus on maintaining a neat and clean work area at all times.
  • Focus on presenting a clean, organized, and sanitized counter area for customers.
  • Focus on the correct use of all company supplied cleaning tools to complete assigned cleaning tasks.
  • Vacuums, mops, brooms/brushes, cleaning chemicals, step stools, and cleaning towels.
  • Focus on safety as it pertains to use of chemicals, wet areas, organization of supplies, etc.
  • Focus on the timely and accurate identification and communication of any potential safety hazard.
  • Focus on the timely and accurate communication of any cleaning products shortages or low levels.

Education/Experience: (qualifications)

  • Qualified candidates should have earned a high school diploma or GED. Experience in retail, sales, or hospitality is ideal

Essential Job Functions And Physical Requirements

  • Frequent Speaking in order to articulate and convey details or information accurately, loudly, rapidly and professionally.
  • Able to hear average or normal conversations in order to receive ordinary information.
  • Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to be able to operate machinery and inspect both documents and products.
  • Physical Strength: able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Be able to stand 4-8 hours without sitting.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work.

Availability

Applicants will be hired and scheduled based on availability presented in the interview. In the event that the applicant’s availability changes, every effort to accommodate will be made but it is probable that the applicant’s status would change.

Average Mental Requirements: One must have the ability to deal with a variety of variables under limited standardization while being able to interpret various instructions. Basic math skills and reading comprehension skills are required. Must be able to communicate effectively.
