Accountant

We are looking for a full-time Accountant to join the team at our growing environmental regulation compliance training company. The accountant will work closely with our VP of Accounting.

Responsibilities include:

Maintains and balances general ledger and subsidiary accounts.

Prepares and records journal entries to facilitate monthly close and preparation of the general ledger trial balance.

Reconciles company bank accounts.

Administers and reconciles the company’s petty cash fund.

Processes all payables and vendor payments.

Manages customer information in the company database by adding, modifying, maintaining client information, and researches for proper industry and parent company information.

Assists VP of Accounting and outside auditors in financial and tax statement preparations.

Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance

3-5 years’ experience or related accounting experience.

Core Competencies

Experience with computerized accounting systems, Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred

Proficiency required in MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

Exceptional attention to detail

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Able to maintain strict confidentiality
