Description
The Dietary Manager is responsible for the overall management of the dietary department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for elder care, a strong understanding of nutrition and food service, and a commitment to providing quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our residents
- Purchase and manage food inventory
- Supervise and train dietary staff
- Manage kitchen staff's schedule
- Ensure that all food is prepared and served according to safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the dietary needs of our residents are met.
Qualifications
- _ Candidate will meet one of these qualifications: is a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) , or is a Certified Food Service Manager or holds an associates degree or higher degree in food service management / hospitality._
- 5 years of experience in food service management (preferred)
- Strong understanding of nutrition and food service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
