What are the responsibilities and job description for the DOT Support Specialist position at LIPARI FOODS OPERATING COMPANY, LLC?
Lipari Foods is currently seeking an experienced DOT Compliance Specialist. This position will be responsible for monitoring and assisting in the enforcement of pre and post-hire DOT and FMCSA regulations. The DOT Compliance Specialist must have a strong work ethic and high attention to detail in order to minimize risk to the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Large capacity filing of Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Updating Miles / Hours / Fuel / Power Jack excel spreadsheets.
- Notification for equipment status for 65 remote depots.
- Mass weekly distribution of equipment damage reporting and Safety Alerts / Red Folders.
- Monthly DVIR audit via DOT requirement.
- DOT support of other functions, accident reporting / ComData / Omnitracs, within the department.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma; College Degree preferred
- 2 years of DOT Compliance experience required
- Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA Employment Guidelines
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proven track record of high attention to detail
- Working knowledge of computers
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook etc.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills
- Must have the ability to learn/grow quickly
- Be able to complete tasks with minimal direction
- Great team attitude
