What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Financial Analyst position at LIPARI FOODS OPERATING COMPANY, LLC?
As a key member of the Accounting and Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will support executive and operational leadership by providing insight, analysis, reporting and tracking of key financial metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and utilize comprehensive models to enhance financial analysis and support informed decision making throughout the organization;
- Prepare analysis in support of various strategic initiatives and monitor progress against established targets following implementation;
- Support activities associated with potential M&A targets including review of historical financial statements and projections, identification of synergies, due diligence and post-acquisition integration;
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget, periodic forecasts and materials for Board of Directors’ meetings;
- Analyze trends and provide insight into financial and operational performance against the plan and historical financial results and key performance indicators;
- Prepare informative financial and operational reports that include actionable insights;
- Determine potential return on investment of various capital expenditure proposals;
- Assist with identifying and driving improvements in business forecasting and planning, analytics, scenario analysis and reporting;
- Coordinate with all levels of management and cross functionally to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding profit improvement, financial plans and operating forecasts;
- Ad-hoc reporting, analysis and other duties as required
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years of progressive financial analysis experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, SQL and financial reporting systems required
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills with a comprehensive understanding of GAAP
- Experience working for or in a private equity environment is a plus
- Working knowledge of Webfocus and FML a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
