  • Summary/Objective:

    The Director of Product Application will be the expert in the Recreational Vehicle product space and applications to the end market. The Director of Product Application will interface with customers to ensure that our products fit the customer application.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interface closely with customers and engineering teams to identify product corrective action plans.
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documents that are related to the RV product line- including control and operation.
  • Identification of technical issues and providing solutions to those issues.
  • Analyze application requirements and develop solutions based on customer needs.
  • Perform customer specification review and interpretation for RV product application needs.
  • Technical document creation to aid in the sales process.
  • Working Conditions:

    • Primarily working indoors, office environment.
    • May sit for several hours at a time.
    • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
    • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent mix of education and related experience
  • 10 years of experience in product application
  • Extensive knowledge of RV products and applications
  • Essential Functions:

  • Identify and provide reliable solutions for technical issues (spec interpretation, calculations., etc.) to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the quote/manufacturing processes.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to installation, control, and operation for end users/Customers.
  • Perform technical and product training for customers and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Analyze complex application requirements and development of solutions to those needs.
  • Perform / support customer specification review & interpretation for needs/demands.
  • Acts as a liaison between customers and teams in solving problems that require expertise at a higher technical level.
  • Create technical documents in support of sales process.
  • Help to establish and track metrics to monitor compliance and operational performance.
  • Participate in cross functional teams to assess and respond to new industry developments.

  • Supervisory Responsibility:

    This role will be responsible for managing the following teams: customer installation, field service, and product specification.

    Physical Demands:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a fulltime salaried leadership position.

    Travel:

    Expected travel for this role is 10-15%.

    Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Degree in engineering related field
  • Additional Eligibility Qualifications:List any other specific eligibility qualifications.

    Must be able to pass EVerify.
