The ideal candidate will direct Lipscomb's writing studio, manage the rhetoric composition program, and teach a reduced load of English courses.

Writing Studio Directorship:

  • Recruit, train, and manage student tutors from every college
  • Lead the Writing Studio Practicum
  • Research and implement best practices in Writing Studio design
  • Develop and sustain a pre-professional path for student tutors interested in a career in Writing Studio management

Rhetoric and Composition Management:

  • Collaborate with English faculty and the College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Office on the scope and sequence for writing courses
  • Craft student learning outcomes
  • Train adjunct faculty to teach all English Department writing courses
  • Liaise with other departments and colleges to help meet their writing needs


Education

Required
  • PHD or better in English
  • PHD or better
