The Event Operations Supervisor (EOS) will supervise and participate in the physical set-up and strike of venues for meetings and events. The EOS should embody the team-player mentality, which involves being approachable, understanding and having the ability to thrive while working with all types of personalities. This also includes being positive and encouraging to ensure the best possible service and event atmosphere for our guests. The EOS will ensure equipment is in working order and properly maintained, and that the team has the tools and resources to be successful.

Typical Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate setup and strike of all venues for events
Supervise and direct the work of the Event Operations Assistants (made up of temporary labor and student workers)
Responsible for initiating and maintaining contact with each Event Manager or Coordinator to ensure that all setup tasks are completed in accordance with the established event timeline
Inspect each venue prior to the event to ensure that both the client's needs are fulfilled and the department standards are met including necessary tasks assigned to the Event Operations Assistants
Be prepared to respond to last minute requests from the client or the Event Manager or Coordinator
Assist in training new team members
Make repairs to event equipment and furniture; report safety or maintenance issues to Service Operations or Event Operations Manager
Store equipment and materials neatly in proper areas
Ensure all unused rooms are set to department’s standards
When necessary, serve as on-site lead for Operations during events when needed (often during weekends and evenings)
